On the 1st and 2nd of June the Mixed Feed Conference 2010 took place in the Kharkiv region of Ukraine.
Sponsored by BIOMIN Ukraine, the event gathered about 300 participants from Ukraine and also European countries, USA and China. Also there were the representatives from the biggest poultry and pig producers on Ukraine in attendance.
Within the conference the participants could visit the general session, where the discussion touched upon important issues of the mixed feed business development, the main trends in livestock production and the cutting edge technologies for the animals’ health support and nutrition. For the general session BIOMIN Ukraine was supported by Tobias Steiner, PhD who highlighted in his presentation the important topic of economical effectiveness of feeding by using innovative technologies and products.
The general session was followed by a series of seminars. The first seminar was introduced by the general sponsor BIOMIN UKRAINE. Oleg Trufanov, PhD on Microbiology, Mycotoxicological laboratory chief of “The Poultry Institute of the National Agrarian Academy of Sciences” spoke about the mycotoxin contamination in the territory of Ukraine and the effect of mycotoxins on animals. Mr. Trufanov also reviewed products for mycotoxin risk management and highlighted the Mycofix® product line’s benefits compared to other products.
Tobias Steiner, PhD from BIOMIN Austria gave an excellent presentation about Natural Growth Promoters and their economical benefits for animal production.
The evening was crowned by the musical performance organized and sponsored by BIOMIN Ukraine. A jazz band and later on a DJ played for all guests and clients and created a wonderful atmosphere for the informal communication.
In general, the Mixed Feed conference is a great opportunity for companies to present new information directly to many potential clients at one place and to get feedback.
